FC Seoul vs Incheon United player ratings - 10/03/24

Seoul struggled to find the opposition box, never mind the goal. What happened?

Choi Chul-won: (6) Much better game this week. Did well to collect some tricky high balls into box, although still looks a bit shaky when playing out from the back.

Park Dong-jin: (6) Got really stuck in as he tends to do. Had his work cut out down the left but battled well.

Kim Ju-sung: (5) Was fairly sloppy in possession and with his positioning again. Definitely looks lost with Osmar next to him. Seemed to pick up an injury following a heavy challenge.

Kwon Wan-kyu: (4) Poor again. Gave the ball away in dangerous areas and kept drifting out of position. Could end up costing us points if he continues to be selected.

Lee Tae-seok: (5) Better than last week, but ultimately disappointing again. Hope he can kick on and get back to his full potential.

Ki Sung-yueng: (5) Very quiet game today, despite all the arm flailing. Had a go at goal late on but put it nowhere near the target.

Takuya Shigehiro: (3) Had to feel for him after getting hooked in just under half an hour of play. Didn't really look up to speed but perhaps could have grown into the game.

Aleksandar Palocevic: (5) Was fairly non-existent today and struggled to get into the areas where he can do the most damage. Needs the ball at his feet around the box to get the most from him.

Kang Sang-woo: (6) Thought he looked bright today and enjoyed his slick passing and movement. M.O.T.M.

Lim Sang-hyub: (4) Odd selection to start today and it seems his career is beginning to wind down. Offered very little.

Stanislav Iljutcenko: (5) Was left isolated and forced to drop deep to retrieve the ball.

Subs:

Cho Young-wook: (5) Poor from him again today. Hasn't quite found his rhythm yet after coming back to Seoul.

Choi Jun: (6) Looked bright and played more directly as he tried to get down the wing to push the team forward. Look forward to seeing more of him.

Kim Shin-jin: (3) Awful. He's become a bit of a scapegoat of late among the fan base, but didn't really help himself. His lack of pace to reach Lingard's late through ball was the icing on the cake.

Kang Seong-jin: (5) Not enough time to have enough of an impact.

Jesse Lingard: (6) Strange one for him today. On the ball he was able to show a glimpse of what he can do, but also scuffed chances and gave the ball away. Looked a yard off the pace too and was targeted for some rough treatment from the Incheon players. Made some clever runs but looked increasingly irritated that he wasn't being found by his teammates.

Manager: (5) I really don't like the idea of bringing off players in the first half and had hoped that those days were left behind following Ahn Ik-soo's departure. Thought he got the line-up wrong today, which showed as he made drastic changes all over the pitch. Can't imagine what he has planned next.
