FC Seoul vs Pohang Steelers player ratings -12/04/24

Seoul's leaky defence lets Pohang run riot. What went wrong?

Choi Chul-won: (4) Could take some blame for perhaps three of the four goals today. Too easily beaten at his near-post too often.

Choi Jun: (6) Started slowly but grew into the game. Not his best day

Rebin Sulaka: (5) Didn’t have the best game and was sloppy with his passing. Didn’t look fit enough.

Kwon Wan-kyu: (4) Out of position too regularly and didn’t look comfy with the ball at his feet.

Kang Sang-woo: (6) Wasn’t able to get into the forward positions that we like to see him in. Booked.

Ki Sung-yueng: (7) Sprayed some passes around as he tried to get the team going forward, but would have liked to have seen him get a real grip on the midfield.

Aleksandar Palocevic: (5) Quiet game for him again. Didn’t have enough say in the attacking third.

Ryu Jae-moon: (7) Looked decent when protecting the backline. All fell apart after he went off.

Son Seung-beom: (8) Got himself his first goal for the club. Looked dangerous with the ball at his feet and got into some food areas. M.O.T.M

Cho Young-wook: (6) Didn’t see nearly enough of him. Struggled to get himself going.

Stanislav Iljutcenko: (5) Quiet one from him today. Wasn’t getting much service and was left isolated.

Subs:

Willyan: (8) Came on to grab a goal, but really should have put the game to bed with his second chance moments after.

Kim Jin-ya: (7) Looked much brighter than in previous weeks and attacked the lines well.

Kim Shin-jin: (5) No time to make an impact.

Manager: (5) Thought his substitutions in the second half ended up being his undoing. Wasn’t able to figure out his old side’s new tactics. Questions starting to be asked about him already?!
