FC Seoul vs Suwon Bluewings player ratings - 25/11/23

Pitiful performance from Seoul against their old rivals. What went wrong?

Baek Jeong-beom: (9) Probably the only Seoul player to come out of the game with any sort of pride in his performance. Made numerous saves when one-on-one and kept the score line down. M.O.T.M

Park Soo-il: (5) Not his best performance today and struggled with Suwon's counter-attacking style. Booked

Kim Ju-sung: (5) Didn't seem overly comfortable playing on the left side of a back three. Caught flat footed a couple of times.

Osmar: (3) A day to forget for him today. Beaten for a pace a number of times, lost his man for the goal and then dismissed for an awful challenge.

Lee Si-young: (6) One of the better performers. Showed some slick passing and made some decent interceptions whilst playing further up field on the left.

Ki Sung-yueng: (5) Was fairly impressed with some of his passes but let himself down with petulant niggles at opposing players, including the push that started the mass brawl. Should be mature given his level of experience.

Han Seung-gyu: (5) Off his game today. Swiped wildly at a couple of shots and was unable to cause Suwon any real danger.

Go Yo-han: (4) Showed definite signs of ring-rust after being hauled back in for this one. Seems to get wheeled out for the 'Supermatch' each time and then demoted to the bench or beyond. Lasted the first-half before hooked.

Willyan: (6) Showed some quick feet but was wild with his shots. At least gave the defenders some reason to panic when he picked up the ball out wide.

Na Sang-ho: (6) Tricky as usual when running with the ball and was always looking to get in behind. Ultimtaely unable to make a breakthrough.

Stanislav Iljutcenko: (5) Unable to have any real impact. Hooked at half-time.

Subs:

Aleksandar Palocevic: (5) Brought on at half-time but quiet, again. His form has been slowly declining towards the end of the season and hasn't quite been able to get back to his usual self.

Kang Seong-jin: (6) Only on in the 85th minute but showed some clever footwork.

Bjorn Johnsen: (5) Came on with Kang. No time to do anything useful.

Ji Dong-won: (5) Didn't really bring anything to the side and posed no attacking threat.

Manager: (4) Feel like he got it all wrong today. Palo should have started over Go Yo-han and the three at the back left us really exposed on the counter. Kang Seong-jin, Palo and Bjorn Johnsen all sitting on the bench just doesn't sit well. Starting to think he will be relieved of his duties at the end of the season.
