FC Seoul vs Ulsan Hyundai player ratings - 04/05/24

Valiant performance but ultimately left empty-handed. Who did what?

Baek Jeong-beom: (9) Didn't really put a foot wrong once again, and made some excellent saves. He's back with a bang!

Lee Tae-seok: (8) Really impressed with his work rate and timing today. Kept Um Won-sang quiet and didn't allow much past him.

Park Seong-hun: (8) Solid performance from the youngster. Looks to be growing into the side and finding his feet.

Kwon Wan-kyu: (7) Decent from him today with his positioning much tighter than in previous weeks. Good work rate.

Choi Jun: (9) Absolutely brilliant today. Made a number of excellent tackles and last ditch challenges. Got forward well, too. M.O.T.M

Kim Shin-jin: (7) Worked hard and didn't shy out of challenges against an experienced midfield. Decent shift.

Ki Sung-yueng: (8) Kept the side ticking over the midfield and make some excellent passes.

Hwang Do-yun: (7) Nice game from him again today. Didn't let the occasion faze in front of a record attendance and got stuck in.

Kang Seong-jin: (7) Tried his hardest to get the ball moving down the wings and worked really hard throughout the game.

Park Dong-jin: (7) Made some clever touches in the final third and tracked back too on defensive duties.

Lim Sang-hyub: (7) Had a few decent breakaways but looked a bit leggy as the game grew on.

Subs:

Stanislav Iljutcenko: (8) Loved his passion and fight in this one. Got stuck in and didn't shy away from any challenge.

Lee Seung-jun: (8) His best performance in a Seoul shirt by a long shot. Was tricky on the ball and wasn't afraid to pull the trigger.

Aleksandar Palocevic: (7) Made some clever through balls but was unable to influence the game he would have wanted.

Willyan: (8) Had a moment of brilliance as he skipped past numerous defenders as he likes to do. Would like to have seen him on the ball more often, but always dangerous in possession.

Manager: (8) Brave of him to stick with the same team that won midweek, leaving a number of stars on the bench. Went really close to paying off but hats off for the courage.
